The first act of the Scudetto Final series is by Sir Susa Vim Perugia. The Block Devils in a packed PalaBarton beat an excellent Mint Vero Volley Monza 3-1 in a match which, with the exception of the second set, was always on the edge of balance. The comeback of coach Lorenzetti’s Bianconeri in the first set was probably decisive when, down 15-21, the enthusiasm of the crowd and a turn of service from Semeniuk put Perugia back on track until the final score was 27-25. Russo’s first half closed the contest in the fourth set. Arthur Szwarc (Mint Vero Volley Monza): “I think the match against Trento taught us a lot: this is only the first match of the Series against Perugia. We had a good chance in the first set, playing together as a team. Then we struggled a little more in the second and we weren’t able to get back into the match.”
