Filippo Bartolucci is a new athlete of Cosedil Saturnia Acicastello. The middle blocker born in 2003, an Under 21 national team, did well with Consar Ravenna last season, playing 25 matches, playing in 86 sets and scoring 213 points. Now, Bartolucci is ready to play his third season in a row in A2.

Another 197 centimeters tall, the talented player from the Marche region grew up in the Lucrezia youth team, then moved to the Lube Civitanova academy, where he began his career in A3, before reaching Vigilar Fano. He made his debut in A2 among the ranks of Grottazzolina. With the Italian national team he won a silver in the 2023 U21 World Championships in China, a competition in which he was also awarded best central defender.

“For me, next year will be the year of redemption – says Bartolucci of his arrival in Sicily – The year with Ravenna was a wonderful year but the dream of the SuperLega faded one step away from the end. As soon as they told me about the Saturnia project I accepted the proposal: we have a common goal.”

Bartolucci adds on the team that is taking shape: “I know that I will join some great players. What is taking shape is a group that can be very competitive, and this is fundamental for a championship like that of the A2 which always reserves surprises, until the last day. And I am sure that Mister Placì will make the difference, being a point of reference for the world of volleyball. We will have to be ready for anything and working as a team, on and off the pitch, will be fundamental.”

“I hope to be able to grow a lot, thanks to this project, I am a central defender who has his strong point in attack and I know that with this I can be of great support, but I know I can also do well on the block”, closes Bartolucci.
