Fabian Plak will wear the Sonepar Padova shirt also for the next SuperLega season. For the Dutch centre-back, born in 1997, next year will be the second consecutive year in the shadow of the Saint. “My goal for the 2024_25 season will be to give my best on the pitch again and ensure that fans and spectators can enjoy every match at the Kioene Arena to the fullest,” began Fabian Plak.
The Dutch athlete, originally from Suriname, will be 27 years old on July 23, before arriving in Padua, he played for three seasons in France between Nancy and Chaumont. In 2016, at just 18 years old, he wore the shirt of his national team, as the youngest player of the group. Her sister, Celeste, was the protagonist of the Italian women’s championship for several seasons. Her mother was also a volleyball player, while her father was a world champion in kickboxing.
Regarding the season just ended, his first in the Super League, the Dutch central defender said: “I would say my first experience in the Super League was good! In Padua I found an excellent group and fantastic staff to work with. I am really happy to continue to be part of such a young and close-knit team. During this last championship we played through ups and downs, but the club and the fans have always been with us, at our side, and I really appreciate that.”
“The Super League is a great challenge, which requires 100% commitment every week. You should never let your guard down. Here in Padua I have grown a lot, both as an athlete and as a person, and I am truly grateful for it. Thinking about next season I think it will be as challenging as the last one, some players have left and others have arrived. I hope that the latter can feel at ease and an integral part of the team as soon as possible, so that we can reach the best level of play straight away.”
