ErmGroup San Giustino returns to the White group of the Serie A3 Credem Banca championship, the third consecutive in this category for the white and blue club. He was part of it at its debut, two seasons ago, then there was the experience in the Blue group last season and now the new relocation to the centre-north with two trips to Sardinia. The ten teams that make up the White group are the following: Negrini Cte Acqui Terme, The Begin Volley Ancona, Belluno Volley, Diavoli Rosa Brugherio, Cus Cagliari, Gabbiano Mantova, Personal Time San Donà di Piave, ErmGroup Pallavolo San Giustino, Sarroch Polisportiva and Monge Gerbaudo Savigliano. Four opponents are old acquaintances: Savigliano, Brugherio, Belluno and San Donà di Piave. The closest trip becomes that of Ancona and, after having skipped Emilia Romagna (which disappeared from the geography of the A3), the ErmGroup will travel twice to Piedmont and as many times to Lombardy, Veneto and Sardinia. “It’s difficult to make an assessment with the bowls still – said the sporting director of ErmGroup San Giustino, Valdemaro Gustinelli – even if it will certainly be a championship to be managed differently. We will leave a week after the Blue group, which has 11 teams and this time there will be a rather long break during the holidays: we will stop on December 22nd and leave again on January 12th, so the break will allow us to recharge our batteries in view of the final phase . We will have to adapt and manage important situations, see the call-up of our young people with the Junior National Team, but the times prove us right.” And what about the quality level of the group? “In my opinion, the most competitive rosters are those of Acqui Terme and Belluno. Mantua, with Roberto Pinali, will be able to do well and Sarroch also placed the shot with the Bulgarian opposite Hristiyan Dimitrov, taken from Fano, who we know very well; for the rest there will be balance and ErmGroup has the possibility of entering the top rankings and competing in the play-offs”. The coach Marco Bartolini also shares Gustinelli’s opinions: “The experience lived in the south – he underlined – has given us the ability to adapt, but the fact of not having midweek shifts also allows us to improve the way we work. If you remember well, at the beginning of the last championship we had to go to Modica to play on Sunday, return and take the field again on Wednesday against Macerata and then leave for Bari, where the match was played on Saturday.
