With the official presentation of the first team, hosted at the Il Molinetto Restaurant, which has long been one of the faithful partners of Porto Robur Costa 2030, Consar’s 2024/25 sporting season began. In a climate of euphoria and in the presence of the sports councilor of the Municipality of Ravenna Giacomo Costantini, many fans, volunteers and collaborators, the first act of the new year was celebrated.
An enthusiasm and passion that do not escape the new coach Antonio Valentini and the councilor. “My previous experience in Ravenna took place in the year of Covid – recalls the coach – with empty buildings. First, as an opponent I remember always very difficult matches at Pala De Andrè also due to the support that always accompanies the team. The closer you are to us – he says, addressing the fans – the more important it will be for us. We expect Pala De Andrè to continue to be annoying for our opponents. Here in Ravenna I feel at home and I’m ready to give my all.”
“I appreciate the good atmosphere that can be felt from the first day – said the councilor – from which you can perceive the good that the city wants for its team. A sporting year begins with a project well rooted in time, which has already produced important results if we think about the growth of the camps and practitioners, with a great passion also transmitted by the volunteer staff and by those who support the club financially and who should be thanked ”.
President Matteo Rossi wanted to wish “a good season and a good game” to the team, underline the depth of the “corporate project which aims to invest in young people” and thank sporting director Marco Bonitta, present in the audience together with owner Veniero Rosetti, for “the important planning carried out in recent months, giving everything to set up a roster that can be competitive”.
In the group of players, Hampus Ekstrand, Manuel Zlatanov and Giacomo Selleri were justifiably absent, as they are retiring with their respective national teams in view of their immediate international commitments. Also absent is assistant coach Saverio Di Lascio, in the staff of the Under 17 national team preparing for the category world championships, scheduled from 24 to 31 August in Bulgaria.
Among the new faces, in an almost reconfirmed staff, there are those of Giorgio Zauli, third coach, Giuseppe Chiarelli, scoutman, and Filippo Binazzi, team manager. “I make my time and commitment available to serve the club and the team – said Binazzi – who I thank for the trust they have placed in me”.
