The summer revolution of the Cucine Lube Civitanova also passes through the farewell of middle blocker Enrico Diamantini. A piece of history is gone, an athlete who began his journey in the academy, as a prospect, with a few call-ups to the first team, and then learned his skills around Italy before returning to base and becoming part of a team capable of playing a central role in the world of volleyball. In the six years of his stay “Diama” has raised the Champions League, the Club World Cup, three championships and two Italian Cups to the sky. Excellent results which would have been even more striking without the stoppage of the Super League and Champions League due to the health emergency with Lube leading the Regular Season and already in the Semi-final of the top European Club tournament.
Enrico Diamantini:
“Even the most beautiful stories have an end, I knew that one day I could take another direction. Linking myself to the Club indefinitely would have been suggestive, but sport, like life, over time presents you with new challenges and unprecedented adventures. For me it was exhilarating to win so much, to grow from every point of view with a team from my region, at a small distance from family and loved ones, surrounded by brotherly friends. The warmth of the fans and the memory of the titles won, starting with my first Scudetto, snatched with my teeth in Perugia, and the Champions League, are something indelible. Just as I will archive every experience, but I am an athlete so I will move on. With this team I have written beautiful stories, but the fire inside me burns more than ever and projects me towards the future with curiosity, enthusiasm and determination!”
A.S. Volley Lube thanks the athlete for the professionalism demonstrated and for having fully embodied the red and white spirit over the years. A special hug goes to Enrico, with the certainty that he will be able to assert himself in future adventures and his name will remain linked to the most successful Lube ever.
