Eve day for Emma Villas, who returns to the field tomorrow afternoon for what will be the sixth day of the A2 series championship. It will be a fascinating challenge because the Sienese will challenge Cuneo, one of the teams credited with winning the tournament. The match will start at PalaEstra at 5.30 pm (the ticket office in viale Sclavo will be open from 4 pm).

The midweek round was not positive for either the Sienese or the Piedmontese. In fact, Cuneo lost at home, in a tiebreak, against Reggio Emilia while Emma Villas lost 3-0 in the Macerata sports hall. The Tuscans had set points in both the second and third sets, but were unable to exploit them. Both partials, which were decided by the advantages, were in fact won by the hosts from the Marche region.

The ranking sees Cuneo in fourth position with 10 points under its belt, and a record so far of three victories and two defeats. Siena is eleventh with 6 points.

Thus Emma Villas Siena centre-back Stefano Trillini on the eve of the match: “It will be a very interesting match because Cuneo is a very strong team, well equipped and with a lot of experience. It will be a complicated race. We come from a bad period, it will be important to try to redeem ourselves on this occasion. They lost the last match, but that means little. They are playing well, they made an excellent transfer market and they will certainly give us a hard time. You get out of difficulties by working hard every day in the gym. We know what our qualities are, we want to show them on the Taraflex”.
