The under 19 Diavoli Powervolley, the reigning territorial champion team, became Lombardy Champion by beating in the final, as already happened in the territorial final, 3-1 (25-17, 25-23, 22-25, 25-20 ) the rival Vero Volley Monza.
A Title that allows the Diavoli Powervolley team to land directly among the 12 teams of the National Category Finals which will take place in San Giustino from 16 to 19 May.
A final, the one staged on Sunday at the PalaGrassobbio, which hosted the event, with the flavor of revenge compared to last season for the Under 19 Diavoli Power, with the title thus returning to the Diavoli Rosa home.
The Under 19 gold is the first regional trophy of this season, the third gold medal won by the Pink Devils and Powervolley Milano, seventh podium between territorial and regional, who are still protagonists of the under 17 regional championships (the semi-final will be played Tuesday 30 April at home against the Powervolley cousins) and under 15s (the final will be played on Sunday 12 May against Desio).
THE FINAL – A tense final that took place on Sunday 28 April in Grassobbio between Diavoli Power and Vero Volley, two teams featuring athletes who were protagonists of the Serie A and Serie B championships and who have always accustomed us over the years to great challenges. Despite the squad not being complete, with the absence of Mancini, Frage still on the “bench” due to injury and Carpita returning a couple of days ago from his post-national injury, the Rosanero gave a courageous and spirited start to the match; with the attack traveling well, Selleri and his teammates closed the first set without difficulty in their favor (25-17), an inertia that also continued in the second set, which was also archived by coach Delmati’s team (25 -23). The start of the third set has the same genesis as the previous ones with the Brugheresi masters of the game, albeit full of errors for both. The turning point from 18-16 with Vero volleyball taking the lead until closing 25-22. The answer was not long in coming: the fourth starts again with the Diavoli brand, still ahead by a handful of points, a gap that then widened towards the end and which decreed the 25-20 victory for Selleri and his teammates.
