The press conference to present the Del Monte® Supercoppa A3 was held in the morning in Palmi, where the authorities presented the second Serie A3 event of the 2024 season: on 30 March, in fact, at the Palasport ‘Mimmo Surace’ in Palmi (RC ), the third edition of the Serie A3 Super Cup will be awarded.

Giuseppe Ramuccio (Mayor of Palmi): “This is one of those conferences that make me proud to be Mayor of Palmi. A city that has the privilege of hosting Del Monte® Supercoppa A3 with the home team involved, namely OmiFer Palmi. A team that managed to fascinate the entire community thanks to the results obtained this year. A Final which for us is an opportunity to promote the values of sport. These results were also an opportunity for the city to positively convey the name of Palmi and the entire Calabria region”.
Yvonne Schlesinger (Deputy Director and Head of Events and Marketing of the Volleyball League): “Special thanks go to the OmiFer Palmi company which immediately made itself available to host the Del Monte® Supercoppa A3, which will see two important teams face each other. Gabbiano Mantova will play in the Promotion Play-Off, OmiFer Palmi will participate in the Round of 16 Play Offs. We are very pleased to be back here in Calabria for an important event which will be played with all the qualities of the League, such as the tricolor flooring already seen in Fano for the Final Four of the Italian Cup. I hope it will be a spectacular event and a magnificent event: as the Volleyball League we are happy to be here in Palmi”.
Giuseppe Carbone (President of OmiFer Palmi): “The first thing I want to do is thank the Volleyball League: as we well know, Palmi was not the organizing city. The League allowed Calabria to organize the event: the invitation I want to make to the Region is that everyone can actively participate in this magnificent sport that is volleyball and which brings families and children together to create an important movement and give opportunities to young people . Thanks also to the institutions, the Mayor and the authorities present, to whom I extend my thanks with the hope that they will continue to believe in what the company is carrying forward in representing the entire Region. But special thanks also go to President Carbone, who has always demonstrated important values, managing to build a real family rather than a team. Del Monte® Supercoppa Serie A3
The third edition of the Del Monte® Supercoppa Serie A3 is scheduled for Saturday 30 March, at 5.00 pm, on the PalaSurace pitch in Palmi, in the province of Reggio Calabria. This is the second A3 seasonal event after the Italian Cup in the category played in Fano at the beginning of March. Gabbiano Mantova, winner of the Girone Bianco and team that has scored the most points between the two groups, challenges the hosts OmiFer Palmi, winners of the Del Monte® Coppa Italia Serie A3, for the award of the trophy. On the one hand, a solid team that has totaled 21 victories and 3 defeats in the championship and awaits the Promotion Playoff with Macerata, on the opposite front the undisputed surprise of the Italian Cup, which presented itself in Fano as an outsider and then proposed a concrete volleyball and overturned the forecasts of the day before. The Palmi team, who have the field factor in their favour, want to overturn the predictions once again for a second cup cup and a debut in the Round of 16 Play Offs with a lot of energy against San Giustino.
