Last Sunday, Brescia’s victory against Reggio Emilia in Game 3 officially marked the end of the Round of 16 of the Del Monte® Coppa Italia Serie A2. The opening of the quarter-finals according to the home-and-away match formula, with a possible Golden Set, is scheduled for Wednesday 1 May. In contention are the four teams returning from the previous round (Consoli Sferc Brescia, Tinet Prata di Pordenone, Pool Libertas Cantù and Puliservice Acqua S.Bernardo Cuneo) and the four semi-finalist Clubs of the Promotion Play Offs (Emma Villas Siena, Consar Ravenna, Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina and Delta Group Porto Viro). Three matches are scheduled at 6.00 pm: Brescia – Siena, Prata – Ravenna and Cantù – Grottazzolina. Kick-off at 7pm for the match between Porto Viro and Cuneo.
In the quarter-final matches, the teams with the best position in the standings at the end of the Regular Season play the return leg at home, with the possibility of playing any additional set on their own pitch.
