The calendars of the 2024/2025 men’s Serie A volleyball championships by Credem Banca were presented a short while ago at the Zanhotel & Meeting Centergross in Bentivoglio (Bologna), home of the volleyball market.
Daniele Morato’s Delta Group Porto Viro, playing in Serie A2, will debut away on Sunday 6 October, on the taraflex of Campi Reali Cantù. The first home match is scheduled for the following Sunday, 13 October, against the “almost cousins” of Tinet Prata of Pordenone.
In the first round the only midweek round will be that of Thursday 31 October which will see the Delta Group on stage at the home of Consar Ravenna for the sixth matchday. The halfway point of the championship is set for Sunday 22 December with Porto Viro hosting Cosedil Aci Castello, then the inevitable Boxing Day round – Thursday 26 December – to open the return round: Delta Group at home with Cantù.
The last match of 2024 will be that of Sunday 29 December, valid for the second return match (Prata-Porto Viro), while the first of 2025 will be played on the day of the Epiphany, Monday 6 January: in the third return match Delta Group will challenge Acqua S.Bernardo Cuneo on its own terrain. The regular season will end on Sunday 16 March with Morato’s nerofuchsia team playing in Aci Castello.
During the presentation of the calendars, the dates of the Del Monte® Italian Cup of Serie A2 were also made official: the matches of the round of 16 will be played on Sunday 6th, Sunday 13th and Monday 21st April (Easter Monday), the quarter-finals on Thursday 1st May, the semi-finals on Sunday 4 May, the final on Sunday 11 May. One week later, on Sunday 18 May, the Del Monte® Serie A2 Super Cup will be awarded.
