The keys to the second line of the Negrini CTE 2024-25 are safe. The expert Davide Brunetti will be the new starting libero next season. Born in 1995, he can already boast ten seasons in Serie A, including four in the top flight with Monza (2015/16, 2016/17, 2017/18, 2020/21), two in Serie A2 with Monza (2013 /14) and Cisano Bergamasco (2018/19) and four in A3 with Portomaggiore (2021/22) and Bologna (2022/23 and 2023/24).

Davide will therefore be having his first experience in Piedmont.

“I have almost always played in Lombardy, except for the last three seasons in Emilia. Changing environments can be stimulating because you always discover new things” says the new libero from Acqui, who last season was an opponent with Geetit Bologna.

He then goes on to explain the reasons for this choice:

“I had met La Bollente Volleyball for the first time at the end of the previous season during the Serie B Italian Cup finals and I had already noticed the enormous potential of the team. This year as an opponent they gave me the impression of a club, despite their first year in professionalism, already projected to do well. After knowing who my teammates will be next season, this impression was confirmed. When I was contacted I had no hesitations in signing because the company is very serious and the project is truly ambitious”

Speaking of objectives, however, Brunetti declares: “My personal objectives are always in step with those of the team since if I do mine I will be able to contribute to the achievement of the set goals. On a personal level I want to maintain a high level and move up further and I think there are the conditions to do so both with the teammates I will have and with the coach. Last year an excellent result was achieved with a great team, this year the level will rise significantly and obviously the demands will also rise. With the squadron that we will have, the expectations will be of a certain type and I think and hope that there will be a return to these expectations.”

A “squadron” in which the Milanese libero will bring, together with others, a good chunk of experience at the highest level:

“My time in Monza helped me a lot to understand how high-level volleyball works, but looking at the names I won’t be the only expert and there will be a lot of experience. I will bring my share and try to give and quickly reach my maximum level, also helping others when necessary”

The last names that will complete the roster will be revealed in the next few days.
