The first addition to the Cuneo Volley Serie A2 roster is Giulio Pinali, Opposto born in 1997 arriving from Modena Volley. Reigning World Champion with the Italian national team, he was also European Champion, again with the blue shirt, in 2021.
The player from Bologna has already made a quick visit to Cuneo in recent weeks and entered the Cuneo stadium making his first statements.
« Various teammates, former Cuneo or past opponents, have talked to me a lot about how exciting it is to enter this building, now I can say that it is exactly like that. I can’t wait to start working here together with the team and staff.”
Giulio, you chose to face the A2 championship as a starter to add experience to your career, what do you expect from the season with Cuneo?
« Yes, I decided to come to Cuneo and play the season in A2 as a starter to test myself and because I want to play and try to be a protagonist».
In June you were called up by the national team, this will be another important summer for Italian volleyball, would you like to be part of it?
“Of course, I would obviously like to be part of the national team and also a protagonist if possible in order to go to the Olympics.”
Have you already had the opportunity to speak with coach Battocchio?
« Yes, I have already had the opportunity to speak with the coach both by telephone and in person. We are both excited to start this adventure together and I am sure we will be able to help each other a lot.”
Finally a reference to the public and the white and blue world.
“I can’t wait to start this adventure together and I hope to be able to bring enthusiasm to the movement and to everyone.”
