COSEDIL S.p.A., the civil and infrastructural construction company founded by Andrea Vecchio in 1965, will be the title sponsor of Saturnia Acicastello for the 2024/25 season, the one in which the biancoblu will play the Italian Serie A2 volleyball championship.
The partnership was made official this morning, Friday 19 March, during a press conference which took place at the COSEDIL S.p.A. headquarters. in Santa Venerina, an appointment at which the president of Saturnia Luigi Pulvirenti, with the managers of the company, the management of COSEDIL, headed by the surveyor Andrea Vecchio, President and founder of the construction company, were present. The one announced today is a partnership based on values common to the two historic Sicilian companies which in 2025 will be united by another important event: the 60 years since their foundation.
“We are honored to have a prestigious business reality like Cosedil at our side, sharing first and foremost a vision of sport values, built on healthy competitive competition, respect for the opponent, sharing and inclusion. – declared President Pulvirenti during the press conference adding – For us the next season will be one of the desire to return to the Super League, and being able to share this journey with Cosedil is a source of pride for us. I am sure that together we will be able to enjoy a lot of satisfaction, together with the great pleasure of celebrating sixty together ‘years of activity’.
Andrea Vecchio, founder of Cosedil, is of the same opinion: “I am a European citizen, a citizen of the world, but my roots are proudly anchored in Sicily on the slopes of Etna and being able to contribute to the growth of volleyball in our territory is a source of honor for me and for the Cosedil Group. With Saturnia we share values and principles and above all the love for the land in which we operate. This partnership should be seen as a return to the territory in a sporting way. The company, like the team, is made up of people who work together guided by passion for work, respect for competitors and adversaries, loyalty towards third parties.” On the celebration of 60 years, Vecchio adds: “Cosedil S.p.A. and Saturnia will both celebrate 60 years since their foundation in 2025 and the coincidence of this historic anniversary has naturally led us towards the partnership. We will therefore move in synergy during the next season to celebrate new goals together for the coming year”.
