On the morning of Friday 9 August the first Volley Tricolore team met at the headquarters in Via Volta to leave together for a week of retreat in the Reggio Emilia mountains.
The first stop of the day was the Aquila Nera di Felina, a trusted hotel that has welcomed the club for years, while subsequently they went to another staple of the week, the Onda della Pietra gym in Castelnovo Ne’ Monti. The sports center hosts the fundamental part of the players’ athletic training in their gym equipped with updated weight machines and a swimming pool.
Upon arrival at the Onda della Pietra, the athletes and staff of Conad Reggio Emilia were welcomed by Carlo Boni, the sports councilor of the province of Castelnovo and by a special aperitif prepared by the renowned chef Fabio Lusetti who is part of the National Team Italian Young Chefs of the APCI chef lab.
In the early afternoon the athletes from Reggio carried out their first training of the week, starting immediately with weights and swimming.
After dinner the team will visit the well-known Banda di Felina which will hold its annual concert in Piazza della Resistenza.
For the second day of the retreat, the team begins to get even more into the heart of discovering the area: after the morning training, in the early afternoon there will be the traditional walk on the Bismantova Stone and subsequently in the evening, the team will host its festive evening at the Aquila Nera hotel in Felina after dinner with karaoke, group dancing and dance music. The invitation is extended to all citizens to get to know and have first contact with the team.
