Conad finds a smile again at the Bigi: they win 3-0 against Campi Reali Cantù and fly to eighth place in the standings with 10 points.
After Friday evening’s match, the Reggio Emilias gained three fundamental points for the ranking which allow them to advance, even if we will have to wait for this evening’s matches, Sunday 24 November, to find out the real placement of the Granata, who are currently enjoying a competitive more than the other teams. Three decidedly hard-fought sets on Friday evening, both teams gave each other a hard time, but at the end of the partials Conad did well to score points to win the match and obtain full spoils.
Nicholas Sighinolfi, central defender from Reggio Emilia: “It was a very tough match, definitely tough, regardless of the result, the sets were all close. It was a hard-fought match where we had to fight and hold on to every ball, which we did today and allowed us to come out on top in the final stages of the sets. Today the connection with Porro was excellent and in fact when it works so much the opponents are forced to block and therefore it is much easier to play, many more balls open up, many more possibilities and this certainly helped the team to win.”
Antonino Suraci, Granata spiker: “We all knew it was a very important match. We have talked over and over again this week about this match at home, which therefore has double value.
