The athletic preparation of Cisterna Volley continues under the orders of coach Falasca and his staff. Coach Falasca will be able to count on the entire roster available. In fact, Jacopo Tosti, fresh from winning the U17 World Cup with Italy, Efe Bayram and Michael Czerwinski, both returning from their respective national teams, returned to Cisterna to work with the group. A few days after the test match against Perugia, Cisterna Volley is preparing to experience a weekend of great volleyball in Gubbio, for the “Spirito di Squadra” tournament, which will see the Pontini team face Sonepar Padova, Gioiella Prisma Taranto and Voleibol Guaguas Las Palmas Volleyball Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September, in a charity quadrangular event now in its eleventh edition.

The tournament that will be staged in the Multipurpose Gym of Gubbio was born in 2013, to remember the memory of Francesco Rampini, player and coach who died prematurely in a road accident, with his father Giampietro who for years represented a tireless driving force, as well as a fundamental presence for the realization of the event. For Cisterna Volley it will be the second participation in the tournament. Last year the Falasca boys finished in second place, behind Panathinaikos, who won the final 3-1.

Cisterna Volley will face Sonepar Padova in the semi-final at 6.00 pm, while the opening match is scheduled for 3.00 pm and will see Voleibol Guaguas Las Palmas and Gioiella Prisma Taranto on the field. The precedents against Padova smile on the Pontine collective, who last year prevailed over the Venetians on two occasions, in the return match and in the 5th place Play Off group match, both won 3-1.

“My summer was beautiful and intense – says Michael Czerwinski – We ended with a defeat against Belgium but as a group we improved, having the opportunity to compare myself with Paul Buchegger allowed me to grow further. Wearing the colors of your nation is always nice, especially because in my case I find a group of friends who can teach me a lot. Physically I’m fine, I’m ready to make myself available to the team, I’ve worked a lot and I really want to help the team and be a reliable element for them. The sensations are good, if I have the opportunity to play, I will be ready to give my contribution.”
