Cisterna Volley returns to play at the Palasport in Viale delle Provincie with the aim of redeeming itself after the last matches and moving up the rankings. On Sunday at 7.00pm they will face Sonepar Padova, a team that has already demonstrated that it can compete with the most highly rated teams, positioning itself in mid-table with 7 points in five matches.

PREMATCH – Coach Guillermo Falasca’s team is determined to change course and move up from twelfth place. The Pontini have left behind the challenges against the top five teams in the standings, in which, despite good individual performances, victory was lacking. Cisterna Volley will focus on Theo Faure, the team’s best scorer with 74 points, and on the solidity in the second line of Domenico Pace, one of the most effective in his role for receiving.

PRECEDENTS – There have been three previous meetings between Cisterna and Padova in the Credem Banca Super League, with a result favorable to the Pontini team, winners on two occasions. The first clash, played a year ago, was won by Padova at the Kioene Arena in a tie-break, with Theo Faure being the best Pontine scorer with 20 points. In the return match, Cisterna won 3-1 in January, thanks to an extraordinary Efe Bayram, awarded MVP.
