Cisterna Volley is preparing for its first seasonal outing at the Cisterna Palasport (free entry) against coach Michele Zanin’s Under 20 national team, for the first of two joint training sessions with the Italian selection scheduled for Wednesday 21 August at 6.30 pm. A double comparison that will provide important answers both for coach Falasca’s boys, who have been working for more than two weeks in view of the first official commitments, and for the young Italian group, which is preparing in view of the European Category Championships, scheduled from 26 August to 7 September in Vrnjačka Banja (Serbia) and Arta (Greece).
Presenting the first match of the season is the Cisterna Volley setter Michele Baranowicz: “In these days we are working hard on a physical level, regaining confidence with the ball. There are many new guys and it’s an opportunity to start getting to know each other, while waiting for the last pieces of the team to arrive in the next few days. Against the U20 national team it is a first test to understand the level of our condition, trying to implement the things we are working on. The feelings with the new arrivals are positive, they are young guys inclined to work. In my opinion there is the possibility of working correctly and doing well. Let’s take advantage of these first commitments to find the right understanding with the new ones and consolidate a path that began last year.”
