After almost two weeks of break since the last match, Cisterna Volley is ready to return to the court. On Sunday 8 December, at 6.00 pm, the Palasport in Viale delle Provincie will host the match between Cisterna Volley and Vero Volley Monza. While the Brianza team are now mathematically excluded from the Del Monte Italian Cup, coach Falasca’s team is already among the top eight. However, a success would allow the Pontini team to aim for seventh place at the end of the first round.

To overtake Modena in the standings, Cisterna needs to win 3-0, provided Modena does not beat Milan at home. Alternatively, a 3-1 victory could be enough, as long as Modena does not lose in the tie-break against the Milanese. If there was a tie in the standings for points, wins and set quotient, the final placement would depend on the points quotient.

THE MATCH – Sunday’s match will be the third official match between the two clubs, with one victory each last season. In the first leg match in Cisterna, coach Falasca’s team triumphed 3-1, with a super Theo Faure scoring 24 points. On the other hand, the best scorer was Arthur Szwarc, still with the Brianza team this year and with a past in the ranks of Top Volleyball. In the return match, however, Monza won in three sets. For Cisterna, Faure (13) and Ramon (10) reached double figures, while the top scorer of the match was Stephen Maar with 18 points.
