On the eve of its 25th year of history, Consoli Sferc Centrale Brescia won its first national title last weekend in Cuneo: the Del Monte Italian Cup of Serie A2. With an overwhelming end to the season, the Brescia team coached by coach Zambonardi was able to overcome first Reggio Emilia and then in the quarter-finals the very strong Siena who had ousted them from the promotion play-offs, thus gaining access to the Final Four. In the semi-final the Toucans beat Porto Viro and then destroyed the strong Ravenna in the final with a perfect match.
On Friday morning, athletes and managers of Atlantide Pallavolo Brescia were summoned to the Council Room of Palazzo Loggia by the Mayor Laura Castelletti and the Sports Councilor Alessandro Cantoni to receive institutional congratulations, as well as good wishes for the final with Grottazzolina which will see Consoli Sferc Centrale del Latte still protagonists in the Super Cup on Sunday. The entire team led by captain Simone Tiberti, the technical staff with coach Roberto Zambonardi, the president Giovanni Ieraci, the vice president Lorenzo Bonisoli, the councilor Fabio Capra was present.
