The match at the PalaBigi last night ends 3-1 for OmiFer Palmi, now Reggio finds itself in twelfth place, still in the safety zone. The last day of the first leg will be played on Saturday in Siena, a fundamental match for Conad to close the group in the best possible way.
Paolo Bonola, central defender from Reggio Emilia: “It’s difficult to comment on this match; in my opinion we didn’t approach it well. In the first set we were good at leading and we did so until halfway through the second set, then perhaps we adapted to the rhythm and lost badly. A bad defeat, especially at a home in front of our crowd during a game that had to be won. During the week we studied the opponent well, to try to stop them both in blocking and in defence, but we weren’t able to contain them, we sat back and so it ended up like this. They were very good because they didn’t allow us to play when we didn’t have any rhythm, so credit to them.”
