Work continues at full speed under the vaults of the Pian di Massiano facility in view of the start of the new season, which this year will open its doors immediately with the first event that awards a trophy, the Super Cup Final Four, in program on 21 and 22 September at the PalaWanny in Florence. The Block Devils continue to undergo muscle strengthening sessions in the weight room, followed by work with the ball on the pitch.

Among the new arrivals this year in Perugia, the youngest of the group: Nicola Cianciotta, born in 2001, making his debut in the Super League… and what a debut! In the top team of the reigning Italian champions!

«I am very happy to have had this call from Perugia and I hope to be able to help the team in its journey in some way. It is an important step in my journey because playing in the Super League was one of my set goals, and it is a great source of pride especially for my family who has always supported me and therefore to be here alongside these champions, this coach , of this staff and of this fans is truly a great source of pride and I hope to live up to it.”

Nicola Cianciotta will complete Sir’s spikers department and will work alongside the Juventus champions, starting with the veterans Oleh Plotnytskyi and Kamil Semeniuk, up to the new arrival Yuki Ishikawa.

«This is one of the reasons why I immediately chose to come here because being at their side, learning, watching them play, “stealing” those small movements and gestures that make them such important players is a fundamental part of my growth» .

The young Juventus spiker, fresh from a season in A2 in Castellana Grotte, is ready to face the rhythms and workloads that a top team like Sir puts on the pitch right from the first days of preparation: «I have to say that I like it because it puts you tough test: facing these very well prepared and well structured training sessions is truly a very beautiful thing because I have never been in such a situation and therefore I am pleased to face these weeks of preparation together with the coach and the trainer” .
