Gioiella Prisma won the match against Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina 3-1 (25-14, 23-25, 25-17, 29-27) in front of 1341 spectators who came to push the team to victory. After a first set in which the hosts dominated without problems, the Yuasa Battery (still without Fedrizzi and Petkovic) returned to the match and equalized the score. In the third set, however, the Ionian team returned to dominate, with a good game from Gironi (named MVP of the match with 25 points scored) and D’Heer who scored 17. The Belgian central defender’s block was decisive in the key moments, and the attack of the Italian opposite team at the end of the match which made the victory possible and avoided any consequences. Conquered with good mental stability in the most delicate moments, Taranto obtains three very precious points in terms of the standings for the rossoblù who will be at home in Monza in the next match. Grottazzolina, however, will host Trento within its friendly walls.
