Another 3-0, another three full points and another choral performance for Sir Susa Vim Perugia who also demonstrated their technical and mental qualities last night, in front of the home crowd, replicating the result of the first leg match and regulating the accounts with Modena in just over an hour and a half. But the team is certainly not satisfied with victories and knows very well that it needs to immediately put its head in the box, putting the championship aside and concentrating on the next match… And what a match!
Same home stadium, same friendly walls and same team beyond the net, but a completely different value for the match on Monday evening, 30 December, the quarter-finals of the Italian Cup: a place in the Final Four is up for grabs of the Italian Cup, scheduled at the Unipol Arena in Casalecchio di Reno in Bologna on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th January.
Coach Alberto Giuliani’s team, which will compete with Sir Susa Vim Perugia for this important ticket to Bologna, demonstrated last night at the PalaEvangelisti that it has excellent qualities which certainly do not reflect the current ranking, as underlined by the Juventus coach, Angelo Lorenzetti, at the end of the match:
«There is talent, especially with regards to the arm and certain heights, in the center of the net; in attack, in terms of positivity they are the best team and therefore we have to be very careful because we know that against Perugia it is easier to play with a loose arm, this is something that Perugia has created for itself throughout history and we have to be careful.”
