Four sets of great sporting battle in Taranto with Prisma ultimately winning 3-1 with the advantage of the fourth set against Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina. The Yuasa Battery is still in the match and shows all its pride, almost taking the match to the fifth set, even considering the injury problems that this first part of the season has left with it. The man from the Yuasa second line, libero Andrea Marchisio, took stock after the match:
“It was a real battle. We knew that Taranto plays well at home, keeps a very high pace. He never gives up, he hits very well and kept this pace throughout the match. We were good in the second set and in the fourth where there is a bit of regret. We didn’t manage some episodes in the best possible way and it’s a shame because with a little more attention we would have brought home at least one point. We played in a very warm stadium, where you can really feel the push of the home crowd, but we are used to playing in contexts of this type where the crowd knows how to make themselves heard.”
Now the aspects to be improved must be analysed. Maximum concentration on the next commitments which are certainly no walk in the park given that Trento, the reigning European Champion, arrives at the PalaSavelli on Sunday (start at 6pm), then we travel to Milan first and then to Perugia. A very demanding program but Marchisio underlines the team’s great pride and desire to compete against everyone: “Now a not very easy triptych awaits us.
