The 2024/2025 roster of Avimecc Modica is increasingly taking shape, adding a new piece to its second line department with the arrival of libero Biagio Pappalardo on coach Enzo Distefano’s court.

Born in 2005, Biagio Pappalardo is 180 centimeters tall and arrives in blue and white from Com Cavi Meta Volley Sorrento.

“Pappalardo – explain the managers of Avimecc Modica – is a prospective acquisition that can be useful to us already in the present. We know his qualities and believe he is ready for an important championship like the A3 series. Under the care of coach Distefano and his staff and working with determination in the gym with experienced people alongside – they conclude – he will only be able to continue his growth path”.

After taking his first steps at Giavì Pedara, after two years he moved to Vipe and after winning the regional category title he moved to Roomy Catania, where thanks to the good results obtained and the excellent performances provided he was called up to A3 with Saturnia Acicastello . Then the transfer to Campania in the ranks of Meta Sorrento, a team with which he also achieved a 4th place in the national category finals.

“I thank Meta Sorrento – declares Biagio Pappalardo – which in these two years has allowed me to grow both as a man and as an athlete, allowing me to arrive in Modica with great prospects. I want to continue my growth path to improve more and more and achieve great results with the team. The role of libero is one of the most complicated because if you are not mentally clear you suffer and make the team suffer. In Modica – he continues – I will have the opportunity to train daily alongside Vincenzo Nastasi, a highly experienced athlete who knows the category well and from whom I will be able to learn a lot. For me, having him next to me is a great honor, it reassures me and allows me to arrive in Modica with the right energy and motivation. Ours is a very young team, but one that already has a lot of experience in A3 and for this reason I expect a season full of surprises and above all great emotions. We are a young team, but we have a great desire to win. “PalaRizza” has always been a difficult pitch for all teams and I believe that this year too we will give all our opponents a hard time. I greet all my new teammates and I can’t wait to start working with them in the gym, ready to face new battles together with them and achieve the goals we have set for ourselves.
