It’s not just a derby: it’s the challenge between the first and second in the class. A very direct clash, to complete a 2024 full of a thousand emotions with an adrenaline rush: on Sunday 22 December (4pm), Belluno Volley arrives in San Donà di Piave, in the den of league leaders Personal Time. Only one point in the standings separates the two teams. And, to bridge the gap, it will take a test bordering on perfection from Captain Saibene and his teammates. Because in the Lower Piave, so far, only the Mantova Seagull has rejoiced.
APPLAUSE – Coach Marco Marzola is responsible for framing the derby that will open the second round: «San Donà is now an “expert” team in the championship with several players that we know and who have been in A3 for some time. Furthermore, the group is renewed and is becoming the protagonist of another top championship: therefore, we must applaud them.” The Belluno Volley coach has clear ideas regarding the face-to-face match against Pala Barbazza: «The match plan will broadly be the same as always. First of all, we will try to bring order to our half of the pitch and respect the tactical dictates that we will give in the match preparation sessions. We know that Giannotti is their main source of points, as well as an athlete with profound experience: therefore, I expect a complicated challenge.”
LONG CHAMPIONSHIP – Marzola doesn’t intend to load the duel at the top with too many meanings: «It’s a match like any other. Of course, the ranking says that the commitment is tough. And indeed it will be, but there are three points up for grabs, as in every weekend.
