The summer transfer market of Itas Trentino, European Champion, continues under the sign of renewal in the middle of the net. After the recent formalization of the young Pellacani, the middle blocker department is enriched with another talented prospect by the name of the Romanian Bela Florian Bartha.
Twenty-four years old in October, in Trento starting from August he will have his first experience outside his country in which he wore the shirt of three clubs with great tradition such as Unirea Dej, Craoiva (already yellow-blue opponents in the 2015 CEV Cup) and Dinamo Bucharest, with whom he played the last two seasons, also winning a Romanian Super Cup under Stelian Moculescu. Bela is a player who makes the most of his physical size (206 centimeters per 100 kg) in the fundamentals of attack and serve, the best in his repertoire. In the last Romanian championship he stood out as the most prolific hitter (41 aces) and as one of the most consistent scorers of dunks in the first half (64%). For three years in the national team, with which he won the Silver League in 2022, he played in the 2023 European Championship, also showing off against the wall and was able to gain further experience at continental level by playing in the last two seasons, first the CEV Cup and then the Challenge Cup always with the Capital Club. In the Golden League played in the last month with Romania he achieved 52 personal points, of which 19 blocks (fourth overall athlete in terms of number of winning blocks).
“Signing for Trentino Volley for me is a dream come true – admitted Bela Bartha -, I am joining one of the reference clubs in the entire volleyball scene, which can count on a roster of players among the strongest and most competitive in the world. I can’t wait to start this new adventure: training and playing with the Trento shirt will be fantastic and will help me grow a lot. I arrive in the most beautiful and difficult championship to learn and offer my contribution to this team. I am inspired by Jan Kozamernik, who will be my future teammate.”
Bartha has signed a two-year contract, he will be the first Romanian in the history of Trentino Volley and will wear the number 22 shirt, never used before by anyone.
