Having completed the seventh week of preparation, Avimecc Volley Modica will begin the countdown to their championship debut from tomorrow.
In fact, next Sunday at 6pm, the sextet led by Stefano Chillemi will make their debut in the 2024/2025 A3 series championship by hosting the SportSpecialist Reggio Calabria team they already faced in the pre season at the “PalaRizza”.
Coach Di Stefano and his staff are satisfied with the work done and look with optimism to the new season which will see the “Galletti” at the starting line of the Third Series championship for the sixth consecutive year.
Assistant coach Manuel Benassi takes stock of the situation at Avimecc.
“The arrival in Modica of Willy Padura Diaz – explains Manuel Benassi – finally completes the roster at our disposal and at the same time the corporate choices. This group that has been training for several weeks is a group that has been working together for several years and with the addition of new arrivals, I believe we have a high-level team, which allows us to work more easily. The group is very motivated and the last joint training sessions were certainly valuable because they allowed us to play real volleyball and as close as possible to what will be the guidelines of our team. I too – he underlines – am very motivated and happy to be in the Volley Modica family and above all to work alongside my friend Enzo Distefano who I consider to be a very valid coach and an exceptional person. Mine – he continues – is a return to Volley Modica, because a few years ago I collaborated with the C series and the youth sector. This is certainly a company that has grown a lot and still has considerable room for growth.
