Everything is ready or almost ready for Avimecc Volley Modica, who are working hard to be ready for the most important match of the season, which on Tuesday at 8pm at the “PalaRizza” will see coach Enzo Distefano’s blue and whites face off in game 1 of the promotion play off of the A3 series championship, the “Battleship” Smartsystem Fano.
The “Cockerels” of the County ended the regular season in seventh position and in the promotion play-offs they will certainly have the toughest obstacle to try to overcome. Fano, in fact, is a team of great technical depth and starts with the odds against the Modica sextet, who, however, will be able to face the double match without great pressure in which nothing can be taken for granted.
“We placed seventh in the regular season which is a bit tight for us, but that’s okay – explains coach Enzo Distefano – Fano will be a real mountain to climb. The Marche team was the only team I would have liked to avoid, but that’s okay. We know that the play offs are a story in themselves, Fano will come to Modica to demonstrate all its strength, but we will be ready. In the last two regular season matches I had to replace Pedro Putini – he continues – and it wasn’t easy given his charisma and the importance he has in our group, but I think I managed quite well, also because in these two matches the team it helped me a lot.
