Regarding the tragic death of one of our fans during yesterday’s match and in relation to the press releases that appeared regarding the impossibility of finding a doctor to allow the match to resume, the club specifies that:
The team doctors and all those who in various capacities were involved in trying to save the life of our spectator who had fallen ill were summoned, once his death had been confirmed, to the Carabinieri barracks in Tricase to be interviewed for brief information and , were held for a long time certainly beyond the permitted time. For this reason, the objective conditions for resuming the match could not be reconstituted. Add to this the psychological situation of those who intervened for not being able to save a life despite having done everything possible immediately. Therefore it is reiterated that there were no objective and subjective conditions for the continuation of the match.
