Aurispa DelCar has announced the agreement with libero Paolo Cappio also for the 2024/25 season. The umpteenth reconfirmation responds to the company’s precise desire to maintain the roster structure of last season, giving confidence to the most representative athletes of the team.
Cappio, born in 1999 and 186 cm tall, grew up as a volleyball player in beach volleyball. He subsequently moved to indoor, being signed by Vibo Valentia in the Super League, then moved to Civitanova in the Serie A3 championship and then to Pineto in the 2020/21 season.
The following year came the call from Aurispa Libellula, with whom he reached the playoff semi-final, followed by the Palmi parenthesis (2022/23), and the return to Salento the following year.
The work of sporting director Antonio Scarascia, in concert with coach Tonino Cavalera, continues unabated in order to complete the roster in the shortest time possible, in such a way as to then be able to concentrate exclusively on pre-season preparation which, presumably, will begin in starting from the second half of August. In addition to the news of the setters Giani and D’Alba, as well as the central defender Gabriele Maletto, there are the reconfirmations of Deserio, Mazzone, Ferrini and that, in chronological order, of libero Paolo Cappio.
