Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza participates for the third time in the 5th Place Play Offs. And they have always met Cisterna in the group or in the final, the first opponent this time too in the group that will begin on Wednesday 3 April in the Pontine region.
The red and whites played the first 5th Place Play Off in the 2020-2021 season: they won the group with 16 points ahead of Milan, in the semi-final they paced Modena, 3-0 at PalabancaSport for the Canaries.
The second Play Off 5th Place saw Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza as protagonist in the 2021-2022 season: first place in the group with 14 points ahead of Cisterna, victory in the Semi-final with Verona by 3-1 and then victory in the Final with Cisterna by 3 -1 with consequent access to Europe where, in the following season, he participated in the Cev Cup instead of the Challenge Cup at the behest of Cev itself.
From Wednesday 3 April, the third participation in the Play Offs begins. 5th place for President Elisabetta Curti’s company, which was founded in the summer of 2018 after winning the A2 Championship and Italian Cup and was a protagonist for five consecutive seasons in the SuperLega.
Six teams participate in the 5th Place Play Offs, which award the winner a place in the 2025 Challenge Cup: Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza, Cucine Lube Civitanova, Rana Verona and Valsa Group Modena who emerged losers from the Quarter Finals of the Scudetto Play Offs, as well as at Cisterna Volley and Pallavolo Padova respectively ninth and tenth in the standings at the end of the Regular Season.
The six teams will play a one-way round robin which includes five matches for each team. Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza will play three matches at PalabancaSport and two away. The 4 best teams play in the Semifinals and Final in a single match at the home of the best ranked team at the end of the tournament. All races will be broadcast on VBTV.
Meanwhile, the sale of the mini season ticket for the next three home matches of the red and white team’s group continues: Sunday 7 April (4.00 pm) with Rana Verona, Wednesday 10 April (8.00 pm) with Valsa Group Modena and Wednesday 17 April (8.30 pm) with Cucine Lube Civitanova. The mini-season ticket also includes, if the team plays them and if they are played at PalabancaSport, the possible semi-final (Monday 22 April) and final (Saturday 27 April).
