With the arrival of the month of August the men’s Itas Trentino will begin their activity in the gym; the gathering of the European Champions in view of the starting whistle of the 2024/25 season is in fact set for the afternoon of Thursday 1st, when the players not involved with the national teams and the entire technical staff will meet at the gym Sanbapolis of Trento (the daily newspaper Arena will be unavailable for a few more weeks, due to modernization works) to start supporting the first work sessions.
At the disposal of coach Fabio Soli and Assistant Coach Adriano Di Pinto there will be six of the fourteen athletes from the squad defined at the end of the summer Volleyball Market; all the others are busy either to participate in the Paris Olympics (Flavio, Kozamernik, Laurenzano, Lavia, Michieletto and Sbertoli) or to support dedicated collegiate teams with the national selections (Bristot with Italy Under 20 and Gabi Garcia with the USA) . The new faces will be those of the Romanian central Bela Bartha (who arrived in Trento already on Tuesday afternoon) and the libero Nicola Pesaresi, while to guarantee continuity with the group that won the Champions League there will be Acquarone, Magalini, Rychlicki together with the young Pellacani, promoted to the first team from the youth sector. From 5 August some of the most promising members of the same academy will also train with them, and will then appear in the squad of the Junior team which will play the Serie B again under the name of UniTrento Volley.
As usual, the half hour before training starts will be reserved for the media for a first informal contact (3.30 pm) and for interviews at the start of the season.
