Cisterna Volley will be involved in another quadrangular match on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September, taking part in the third edition of the Codex and Castello Trophy. A prestigious commitment for the Pontine collective, which will find Gioiella Prisma Taranto on the field in the semi-final, a team participating in the Super League championship, fresh from the “Spirito di Squadra” tournament like Cisterna. Completing the roster of participating teams are the ambitious Saturnia Acicastello of coach Placì, involved in the A2 championship, and the Ach Team Ljubljana, the reigning Slovenian champion team, which will participate in the next Champions League and which it has had on its roster in the past well-known faces of the local championship such as Urnaut and Kovacevic.
In Calabria, Cisterna Volley had already taken part in the event last season, coming in second place after the final lost against Taranto, after beating Palmi in the semi-final.
THE TOURNAMENT – The “Codex and Castle Trophy” was born in September 2022, from the desire of the Corigliano Volley company to satisfy the Cosentino public and specifically that of Corigliano-Rossano, offering a sporting spectacle of national and international caliber.
