The second 3-0 defeat arrives for Conad Reggio Emilia, this time at home against Consar Ravenna, a great team made up of important names from the Italian volleyball scene.
After a complicated first set, the Reggio team tried to make up for it, holding on to the match and trying to fight point by point, but it wasn’t enough, because Ravenna managed to find the right key every time to extend and gain the advantage necessary to close the match first.
Andrea Gasparini, opposite player from Reggio Emilia, took to the pitch and managed to give his teammates breathing space and scored 3 aces: “This is a team that needs time. We have changed a lot compared to last year, we have many additions who are in any case their first experience in this category. It’s not easy to adapt, it’s not easy to get into the rhythms that correspond to Serie A2, so it will take time, but anyway we’re working hard and we’re working well. The good thing we saw today was the reaction from mid-match onwards, Ravenna in any case is a great team, it has great players and great strength. In the decisive moments they scored those breaks that allowed them to win the match. All in all our assessment is not negative, we know what we need to work on and we will continue to do so in the gym.”
