The Tuscan middle blocker, Andrea Truocchio, continues his adventure in the City of the Saint for the next SuperLega championship. Born in 2000, he grew up in the youth sector of Modena and joined the first team from 2018 to 2021, he then played three seasons in A2 in Siena, Castellana Grotte and Santa Croce, before arriving at the Juventus club.

“I am very happy to continue my journey with Pallavolo Padova. This reality allows young athletes, like me, to improve and express their potential on the pitch. Last season I had the opportunity to compete on the pitch, having my space, and my goal for next year will be to have even more. I already know the environment, the trainers and the staff, who are among the best you can work with to grow on a physical level as well. Furthermore, we are all very young, so the team will be super close-knit and I am convinced that it will be able to give a lot of satisfaction during the next SuperLega championship”, he began.

Looking back on last season, Truocchio commented: “This past season was a great growth experience. Coming from a small village, finding myself in Padua was a significant change, I got along very well with both the company and the city. It was a very welcoming and stimulating context, which allowed me to develop as an athlete and as a person.”

Regarding the objectives in view of the next championship, he added: “The personal objective, as for every athlete of my age who plays in the Super League, is to become a starter. I believe it is a common goal for all players who start on the bench, as well as for those who are already starters and want to keep their place or aspire to join the national team. As far as the team objective is concerned, obviously we are aiming for salvation, but also, perhaps, to reach the playoffs.”
