After Captain Bisi, Andrea Schiro also renews. Also in the 2024-2025 season, Belluno Volley will be able to rely on the quality and talent of the spiker originally from Thiene. Twenty-three years old on September 10th, in the shadow of the Dolomites he has become the protagonist of a growth path worth highlighting: in particular in the playoffs, in which he played as an absolute protagonist.

CHARACTER – «Happy to stay – are Andrea’s words -. I had a great time in Belluno: I found a second family. The main factor that pushed me to extend the blue and white adventure? It is linked to the seriousness of the people in this environment: from the teammates to the staff, through to the warm public, always ready to support us.” Schiro has just had an excellent year. And a semi-final game 2 closed as a top scorer, against Virtus Fano, with 17 points enriched by a couple of winning serves: «It was an important season for my growth. Both in the volleyball field, given that I managed to improve and give my contribution to the collective, and on a human level: thanks to the challenges faced together with the team, I strengthened my character.”

COMPARISON – Now the spiker and the entire collective want to give continuity to the happy performances recorded after the Christmas holidays: «In the first round we went through too many ups and downs, but in the return we were sensational. We bonded as a group and proved that we were a team until the end of the playoffs.” There is no shortage of news in the club: «I have already met with the new sporting director, Alessandro Carniel. He is very competent, I already knew him from the 2022-2023 season, spent in Motta di Livenza. Coach De Cecco? He is busy with Slovenia and I wish him a great sporting summer. But – Andrea smiles – I think he won’t be offended if we support Italy.”

REST AND GYM – Schiro was unanimously appreciated for his professionalism and rigor: «During the summer I will try to rest, but also to keep fit. Not surprisingly, I continue to go to the gym. And to work: from a technical and physical point of view. Then I’ll take a little vacation.” The athlete, who grew up in Padua Volleyball, has clear ideas: «We want to achieve the objective that the club has set itself, while from a personal point of view I intend to grow as a player. And give even more support to the team. Furthermore, I would like us to have fun and make our fans and the people who support us proud.”
