New reconfirmation at Aurispa DelCar, which formalizes the extension of the agreement with spiker Alessio Ferrini also for the 2024/25 season. For the side it will be the third consecutive year with the Salento association which, through the work of the sporting director Antonio Scarascia, has put down on paper another fundamental reconfirmation, after those already made official by Deserio and Mazzone, in addition to the innovations in the direction with the two setters Giani and D’Alba.
Ferrini developed his volleyball skills in the youth teams of his city, Velletri, and then made his debut in Serie B in 2013. Pallavolo Jolly Cinquefrondi, Folgore Massa, Sabaudia (where he obtained promotion to A3) and Civita Castellana are the B teams in which he plays in the following years, net of a parenthesis with Ortona. In 2020 came the leap in category, with the call of Mondovì, and the following year he reconfirmed himself at high levels with Santa Croce. The landing with Aurispa Libellula (now Aurispa DelCar) takes place in 2022 and the present sees the two parties still united on the same path.
“We hope to improve what we have done in the last two years – explains Alessio Ferrini regarding the intentions for next season -, we were unable to reach the Italian Cup, to overcome the first playoff round, so as a team objective there is that of doing better. On a personal level, I want to improve compared to last year, which didn’t end in the best way due to a small problem, so try to always do better, both in matches and during training, bringing a bit of my experience.”
