Aleksandar Nedeljkovic will continue at Cisterna Volley also in the next Super League season. The 205 cm central defender of the Serbian national team will build on his 58 winning blocks scored in the last championship: an important number which earned him second position in the special monster-block ranking behind Augustin Loser but ahead of Simon and Podrascanin.

«The Cisterna Volley project continues after a start which I consider very positive and continues with greater awareness on the part of all of us – states Massimiliano Marini, honorary president of Cisterna Volley – the company is working with the aim of offering the territory we represent with great pride in the opportunity to be a protagonist on a national level with a team capable of providing emotions and entertaining the public. I hope that more and more people can approach our project, supporting the team in the arena, fueling the enthusiasm that makes this sport so beautiful.”

Nedeljkovic arrived at Cisterna Volley at the end of last August, after playing the European championships in Italy with the Serbian national team. «I am very happy to continue with this project here in Cisterna because last season we did a good job and, from the feelings I have, I think that in the next championship we can do even better by continuing to work at our maximum – explains Nedeljkovic, a capable central defender to block at three meters and thirty-five centimeters and to smash at three meters and fifty centimeters – The objective could be to improve what we have done, but to aim for the championship play-offs we will have to consolidate our growth as a group: we will have to play better of the previous season trying to always keep our level very high.” Then Aleksandar Nedeljkovic continues with some more personal insights into his life in Cisterna. «It will certainly be a much simpler start to preparation because we will continue to work practically with the same teammates, with the same staff and this is certainly very positive».
