A factor in the recently concluded 2023/2024 season was the play in the center for Rana Verona, who had an important battery of central players at his disposal. One of the main interpreters of this role was Aidan Zingel, a pillar of La Scala volleyball who was only able to take to the field from the eighth day onwards, once he had obtained the green light to register as an Italian athlete.

From the last matches of the first round until the end of the year his contribution was invaluable, if only for the great experience he boasts in the Super League. The third place player, born in 1990, played on the taraflex of the top national tournament on 24 occasions, for a total of 71 sets played. He was on the scoresheet 66 times, with a haul of 41 winning attacks, while he landed 22 block-points and 3 aces.

His best performance in terms of scoring was recorded in the match against Milan, in the ninth round of the first leg, where he collected 11 points, with 75% positivity in attack. At his season debut on the pitch in Piacenza, however, Zingel showed off with 5 winning blocks, one more than those found on the fifth day back in Monza. Overall, the Scaliger number 1 offered an excellent performance in front of the net, as demonstrated by the 61.2% positivity in the attacking phase if we consider all the competitions.
