The joint training with Romeo Sorrento on Saturday afternoon effectively closes the fifth week of preparation for the Rinascita Volley Lagonegro.
Fifteen days before the start of the championship, coach Pino Lorizio’s team continues its growth path, sealed by the good overall performance shown by the Campania team. The final score was 2-2 against a direct competitor in the Blue Group of Serie A3 Credem Banca, which allows us to look to the future with renewed optimism and confidence.
The first set was fought point for point (26-24), Sorrento prevailed in the second (20-25), the teams then divided the stakes in the two final sets (25-21 and 23-25). The third test of this pre-season was very useful for further refining all the tactical measures studied during the week and, at the same time, increasing the level of athletic condition in view of the now imminent debut in the championship (Sunday 13 October) against Energy Time Campobasso.
“Like the other two previous training sessions we had positive indications – coach Lorizio’s analysis – we did good things from a technical-tactical point of view, but we absolutely must find more continuity within the individual sets and the match. The objective of these two weeks remaining before the start of the championship will undoubtedly be to accelerate this aspect.”
On Saturday 5 October, the red and white troops will return the visit to the Sorrento team at Palatigliana in the last friendly test of the pre-season.
