Three days of training and information for the management staff of CUS Cagliari at the Volley Mercato at the Zanhotel & Meeting Centergross in Bologna organized by the Serie A Volleyball League.

Aimed at all the Super League, Serie A2 and A3 teams, the “Sa Duchessa” company participated with a small delegation from the Volleyball sports sector made up of the head of the volleyball sector Alessio Marotto, the Sports Director Roberto Meriggioli and the Office representative Riccardo Tagliazucchi print. Over the last three days they participated in meetings relating to the next championship, the Media Day, the League Assembly and the Board of Directors. Furthermore, yesterday evening the membership deadline that formalizes the 2024/25 roster for all A3, A2 and Super League teams.

«The three days of Volley Mercato was a very important opportunity for training and discussion. Interacting with larger and more established entities than ours can only be a stimulus for improvement and ambition to always do better. Now that we have seen all the days of this second season of A3, we can’t wait to get started” says the sector manager, Alessio Marotto.

For the sporting director of the rossoblu, Roberto Meriggioli: «A new year is about to begin for our first volleyball team. The championship this year will be a bit atypical due to the number of teams and the particular group formula but we are determined to do well and continue in the good wake of last season.”

Calendars. CUS Cagliari’s season will begin on October 20th with the derby on the Sarroch pitch. On the second day, the first home match against Belluno Volley (27 October). Then, two consecutive away games: first against Monge Gerbaudo Savigliano (3 November), then against The Begin Volley Ancona (10 November). On the fifth day, we return to home against ErmGroup Altotevere San Giustino (17 November). In the sixth, the away match against Gabbiano Mantova (24 November).  The month of December begins with the two home matches against Negrini CTE Acqui Terme (1 December) and Diavoli Rosa Brugherio (8 December). The last first leg, scheduled for December 15th, will see the rossoblu on the pitch against Personal Time San Donà di Piave.

The first day of the return round, with the home derby against Sarroch, will be played on 22 December.  The last match of the regular season will be played on March 9th.

«There is no better way to inaugurate this season, having the derby immediately on the first day is a very strong stimulus for the whole club.
