With the conclusion of the first round now upon us, one of the most anticipated volleyball events in the world is approaching: the Final Four Del Monte® Coppa Italia, where 4 of the best teams in the SuperLega will give life to two days of great entertainment . At the end of the 11th round of the first round of SuperLega Credem Banca, scheduled for next weekend, the pairings in the scoreboard will be decided; the eight qualifiers for the competition will compete in the Quarter Finals on 29 or 30 December: up for grabs is a place in the Final Four, on 25 and 26 January, where all eyes will be on the Unipol Arena in Bologna, when they will play to conquer the 47th edition of the trophy.

Partecipano alla Del Monte® Coppa Italia le prime 8 classificate del girone di andata della Regular Season. Già annunciata durante il Volley Mercato la sede della Final Four: l’Unipol Arena di Bologna. Le formazioni classificate dal 1° all’8° posto al termine del girone di andata (8 dicembre 2024) prenderanno parte ai Quarti di Finale incrociati (29 dicembre 2024, con almeno un posticipo il 30) in gara unica sui quattro campi delle squadre con migliore classifica. Le vincitrici degli scontri diretti accederanno alla Final Four di Bologna (25 e 26 gennaio 2025) che assegnerà la 47ª Del Monte® Coppa Italia.
7 teams have already qualified for the Quarter Finals; among these, 3 are already certain to be seeded, and therefore to play the first round within friendly walls, while 2 clubs are playing for the last available pass.
Sir Susa Vim Perugia, holder of the trophy, and Itas Trentino, are already certain of first and second place respectively.
Cucine Lube Civitanova, thanks to the success against the Dolomites, will also play the quarter-final match at home, and will finish the first round in third or fourth place.
Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza is currently in fourth position: to maintain home advantage in the first round of the Cup, Anastasi’s team will have to defend themselves from Rana Verona’s attacks, with the Scala team (18 points, 6 wins) aiming to overthrow the Emilians (20 points, 7 victories) from the top 4. With a 3-0 or 3-1 victory however, the red and whites would rise to third place, overtaking Civitanova by virtue of the greater number of victories.
The other clubs already qualified are Allianz Milano (which can finish between 5th and 8th place), Valsa Group Modena (between 6th and 8th): the two will face each other on Sunday at 7.00 pm, and it will be their challenge to close the first round.
The last available pass for the Del Monte® Coppa Italia will be played instead by Cisterna Volley (eighth) and Gioiella Prisma Taranto (tenth). The Pontini team needs at least one point for the mathematical certainty of finishing at least eighth, while with a victory they can aspire to seventh place; the Ionian team dream of qualifying for the Italian Cup, but need a “3” win in Verona and for Cisterna not to win a single point at home against Monza.
