ShedirPharma Sorrento’s purchasing campaign ends with a bang, ensuring the performance of a supersonic bomber capable of putting any defense in difficulty. Place 4 arrives from abroad and is preparing to inflame the PalAtigliana public, and more precisely from Wejherowo, because the story of Piotr Zielinski demonstrates how easy it is for Polish athletes to settle into the very hot squares of the south. Born in ’90, and with very broad shoulders for an authentic volleyball globetrotter. Raised in the youth sector of GKS Stoczniowiec, the spiker immediately moved to the French top flight among the ranks of Al Caudry, before returning to his homeland defending the colors of Trefl Gdansk, Joker Pila and Keczanin Kety. After 2 seasons in Austria in Posojilnica AICH/DOB, he returns to his homeland for AZS Czestochowa, before packing his bags again to gain new experience around Europe. Equipped with technique and quality in all fundamentals, he shows off in Slovakia (Volejbal Nitra), Czech Republic (Volejbalovy Club Pribram), Romania (Universitatea Craiova) and Switzerland (Volley Schonenwerd). In the summer of 2020 he returned to Poland to make himself available to Czarni Rzasnia and SPS Chrobry Glogow). The arrival in Italy is a matter of time. 2022 transfer session: Tunit Macerata signs for Med Store, closing the season with 398 points (25 aces and 56 blocks), and reaching the round of 16 play-offs and the Italian Cup final. In the last championship he came to PalAtigliana as an opponent, scoring 22 points in a very tight match which saw Sorrento prevail in a tie-break over Erm Group San Giustino after almost 3 hours of battle with no holds barred. The new spiker on the green and white roster is called Stanislaw Wawrzynczyk.

From San Giustino to Sorrento: how did the negotiation come about and why did you choose Sorrento?

“In the environment I had always heard good things about Campania society. Plus, I know that Sorrento is a beautiful city, so the white smoke was very quick!”

How would you describe your style on the pitch?

“My style depends a lot on the day and my mood! Generally speaking, I am a calm person, but at the same time tenacious and obstinate in achieving my goals.”

You have played in various European leagues: what in your opinion are the main characteristics of the Italian championship?

“I don’t think there is much difference in terms of athletic preparation, or intensity in training sessions. What changes is the level, the quality of the volleyball expressed on the taraflex, and the number of people on the staff”.
