Young, gritty, serious and talented: the first piece of Brugherio for the 2023-24 Serie A3 Credem Banca season is the libero, born in 2005, Andrea Marini.

At 17, wearing the shirt with which he grew up in volleyball and with which he won four of the six club championships, he had the honor of treading the taraflex of Serie A3 and the burden of defending the second line of the first team of the rosanero.

After the first year of Serie A and a save, as the youngest team in all the league championships, conquered on the court, Andrea Marini’s identikit changes and to the voices of young, gritty, serious and talented are added those of solidity, reliability and leadership. He conquered the public, game after game, with his great attitude to never give up, he became a point of reference for the team and proved to live up to the club’s expectations.

Inevitable his reconfirmation on which the DT Danilo Durand has never had doubts: “You don’t need many words to describe Marini, his work and what he did last season speak for him. In his first year in Serie A, despite his young age, he showed great maturity, the most mature of the group, and he took on many responsibilities so as to become a point of reference for our second line. He still has great room for growth but he’s a guy you can count on, who never backs down when it comes to work and if there’s a need to raise the bar, he’s there, ready to give his all. For these reasons, with great pleasure and total conviction, we have decided to confirm Andrea in the first team”.

“The reconfirmation by the club made me feel very honored to be able to continue wearing these colors, I feel that the Devils still have a lot to teach me and I’m sure I still have a lot to give to the club and the team”. These are the first statements by Andrea Marini on his reconfirmation. The free rosanero then adds: “The first season in Serie A was a swing of emotions, we had wonderful moments and just as many difficult moments, inevitable for a young group like ours, the youngest in the championship, from which however we managed to get out of it all together, arriving at the end of the year more than satisfied for having reached salvation”.
