The Block Devils, who returned to Perugia late on Monday evening from India, return to PalaBarton today to resume their work in view of the next Super League events and in particular the big match on Sunday in Trento where the top two in the rankings will face each other
The time has come to return to the PalaBarton headquarters for Sir Susa Vim Perugia.
After the great world championship celebration last week and the return from India late on Monday evening, the Block Devils enjoyed a day of well-deserved rest from the efforts of Bangalore and this afternoon they will find themselves at the Pian di Massiano facility for resume their daily work in view of the next Super League events and in particular in view of the big match on Sunday in Trento.
Morale is obviously high among the Bianconeri who won their second Club World Cup in India, repeating the victory in 2022 in Betim and securing their second title of the season after the success in the Italian Super Cup in Biella. High morale also because the team demonstrated great compactness and unity in the competition, playing at a high pace with quality and aggression, putting into practice in the best possible way the great tactical work carried out by the Perugian technical staff.
However, Bangalore is now already part of the past, from today the whole group returns with its mind to the Super League. A Super League which has reached the penultimate first leg and which, with the results of the last round played on Sunday, sees Perugia at the top of the table with 24 points followed by Trento on 22 and Piacenza on 20. These three teams will compete for supremacy in the turning point with Sunday which, from this aspect, will certainly give a clearer picture with the clashes at the top Piacenza-Civitanova and above all Trento-Perugia.
In particular, the big match scheduled in the Trentino facility pits the top two in the class against each other for the second match of the season after the semi-final of the Italian Super Cup won 3-1 in a comeback by Lorenzetti’s men who return to Trento as an opponent for the first time after the last seven years spent leading Itas from the bench. Sunday will be the 53rd match between the two teams, a match which in recent years has always offered important objectives both nationally and internationally.
