Great satisfaction at home Plus Volley Sabaudia for the victory on Saturday 21 October against Just British Bari. The Apulian team could count on its side, in addition to the sometimes decisive factor of playing at home, also on an excellent previous performance against Macerata, a real battleship of the Blue Group of the Serie A3 Credem Banca championship. In the end, however, it was Sabaudia who came out on top, taking home two very useful points in the standings with an excellent 3-2. Apart from the fourth set, where fatigue caused the Pontini to lose concentration, the Plus Volleyball always remained in the competition, demonstrating great qualities of resilience and an uncommon desire to win. On the sidelines of the match, spiker Mattia Della Rosa made his debut, having replaced Paul Ferenciac already during the fourth set.
Mattia Della Rosa (Plus Volleyball Sabaudia): “We played very well in the first two sets, where we were very concrete both from a tactical and technical point of view. Then, thanks to a drop in energy on our part, and thanks to Bari, who, taking advantage of it, got back into the match, we struggled a bit. In the end, however, our attachment to the match paid off and saw us as winners. It’s my debut on the pitch with the Sabaudia shirt and it was very important for me to help the team. We must continue as we are doing and already think about the next match. One by one. The level of the championship forces us not to rest on our laurels.”
