Petar Visic will continue to be, together with the Brazilian setter Fernando Kreling, one of the orchestra conductors of Vero Volley Monza for the 23/24 sports season. 198 centimeters tall, effective against blocks and equipped with excellent hands, as well as a poisonous serve, the number one from Monza is ready to wear the rossoblù jacket between Italy, in SuperLega Credem Banca, and Europe, in the CEV Challenge Cup 2024.
21 appearances, with 7 points of which 2 aces and 2 blocks are the numbers of the last sporting year of the Croatian setter in the rossoblù shirt, in which he also found himself, in the first three days, replacing the injured Fernando Kreling. With the addition of Zimmermann and later the return of the starting setter, Visic preferred to end the season in his hometown team (Kastela) to prepare for the commitments with his national team, which then reached the Semifinal (3-1 defeat by Ukraine ) of the European Golden League 2023. The volleyball career of Visic, born in Split, began thanks to his mother’s passion for this sport (he played volleyball but not at high levels) which allowed him to reach in the 2014-2015 season, after completing the entire youth process, the first team of Mladost Ribola Kastela, winning three Croatian championships and a 2018 Croatian Cup (best setter of the event). In 2019-2020 it was bought by the other Croatian big club, HAOK Mladost Zagreb, winning 2 championships and 2 Croatian cups, as well as playing in the CEV Champions League and the CEV Cup. In this last event, Visic has had the opportunity to play against Vero Volley Monza (16th finals), being appreciated by the Brianza Club for his qualities.
Visic has been part of the Croatian senior national team since 2017, with whom he won a gold medal at the Silver European League in 2018 and at the 2022 Mediterranean Games, beating Italy of the other Monza Di Martino in the Semifinal and Spain in the Final by 3-0.
